Our Maddocks Women program was formed in 1997 to assist our women to develop their careers. Our Maddocks Pride Committee drives initiatives at Maddocks for our LGBTI colleagues and allies. We have a stated goal to have 40 percent female representation in our partnership by 2020 – we are currently at 38 percent.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our mission is to make a difference for our clients, each other and the community. This means we highly value the role corporate social responsibility initiatives can play in providing support individuals and organisations in need. In FY18, we conducted more than 8,000 hours of pro bono work, provided about $240,000 in financial support to community organisations and implemented a range of programs and initiatives to embed diversity and inclusion at our firm and lessen our environmental footprint. Learning & Development

We're proud of our learning & development training programs as they offer a wide range of opportunities. From attending Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions at a team and office level, through to attending practice management and professional skills training for specific roles, leadership programs for senior lawyers and off-site team retreats that build on themes that support our core values and firm strategy. We also encourage our lawyers to participate in our ASPIRE program where they can develop their networking skills, become buddies or mentors for others and present at internal CLE or external client presentations.
