Firm Background

Norton Rose Fulbright Group is a leading international legal practice. We offer a full business law service from offices across the Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Worldwide we have over 4,000 lawyers in 58 offices.

Recognized for our industry focus, we are strong across all the key industry sectors: financial institutions; energy; infrastructure, mining and commodities; transport; technology and innovation; and life sciences and healthcare. Through our global risk advisory group, we leverage our industry experience with our knowledge of legal, regulatory, compliance and governance issues to provide our clients with practical solutions to the legal and regulatory risks facing their businesses.

Wherever we are, we operate in accordance with our global business principles of quality, unity and integrity. We aim to provide the highest possible standard of legal service in each of our offices and to maintain that level of quality at every point of contact.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a strategic business issue at Norton Rose Fulbright. It is about recognising our obligation to contribute to the communities in which we work, as an organisation and as individuals.

We focus our CSR efforts in support of human rights, Indigenous rights, rights of the LGBTI community, rights of women and children, rights of homeless people and rights of those in the community who are otherwise less fortunate. We do this through pro bono legal support, charitable giving and fundraising, volunteering, our environmental sustainability initiatives and through the actions and initiatives identified in our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

We take an inclusive approach to diversity encompassing gender, ethnicity, religion and belief, sexual orientation, gender expression, those with caring responsibilities and disability. Our diversity and inclusion strategy has a particular focus on leadership, the partnership pipeline, flexible work practices and support for those with caring responsibilities. Find out more about diversity and inclusion here.

In Australia we have a range of programs and networks including an active Pride network, a Flex-ability network, a focus on creating a more inclusive workplace through Unconscious Bias training, as well as a goal to build a more culturally and linguistically diverse workforce. We have a female Chair, both at a local and global level, over 30% female partners, many of whom work flexibly and we have been awarded year on year with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation. In 2017 we were also named an Australian Workplace Equality Index Silver employer which recognises LGBTI inclusive workplaces across the country.
