Adelaide offers summer clerkships to students in their final year. Employment periods are based on university term dates and our requirements at the time.
Length of program
Summer clerkships in Adelaide typically run for a period of four weeks through November and December, and four weeks through January and February.
Time of offer
Our recruitment processes are in line with the South Australian Law Students' Council (SALSC) Clerkship Scheme. Vacation clerkship offers will be made on 28 August 2017.
Number of clerks employed
This depends on business requirements at the time, but numbers are generally 5 per intake.
In order to make the transition from university to legal practice, a range of learning opportunities, educational support and professional experience is critical. Our Graduate Program assists young practitioners in making the transition and provides a solid basis for future success.
Length of program
One year.
Number of rotations
During the program you will work across two of our key practice areas, completing six month rotations. One rotation will ideally be completed in a litigation based department.
Number of graduates employed
This depends on business requirements at the time.

Applications for the Summer Clerkship Program are to be submitted through cvmail.
The selection process will usually consist of your initial application, an interview and on-site selection event.
Graduate Program
Once you have completed a clerkship with Thomson Geer you will have the opportunity to apply for a position in our year long Graduate Development Program. The selection process includes an assessment of feedback and your performance results as a clerk.
