Employee Numbers

We are a growing firm with currently over 350 employees in 5 office locations. Our Brisbane office is our smallest site with approximately 53 employees.

Seasonal Clerkships

Rather than a short-lived summer clerkship, we offer our clerks a long term program (up to 2 years) that leads to a graduate position.

Clerks generally work two days per week commencing from their penultimate year of study through to graduation. Our clerks progress quicker because of this ongoing experience.

As “we live in your world” flexibility is the key, so you choose the days you work each semester depending on your university timetable. Clerks can also take time off work when needed to study for exams or holidays. Many of our clerks have also participated in an international exchange while they study.

Providing our clerks with the opportunity to participate in real legal work is important for their engagement and development. We don’t recruit laws clerks to become additional administrative assistants, but rather offer real legal support to our lawyers and partners. You will be kept busy with legal research, drafting, and attending court.

Generally we recruit up to 3 clerks per year in the Brisbane office.

Graduate Recruitment

In conjunction with our clerk program, we recruit our graduates from our current clerks through a priority offer program. Due to the growth of our firm we also sometimes need to recruit graduates outside our existing clerk program and these positions are advertised on our website under the careers page and/or on university career portals. Depending on requirements the Brisbane office generally recruits 2-3 graduates per year.
