We are a growing firm with currently around 350 partners and staff. Our Adelaide office is currently the largest with approximately 130 people, and including our national business support functions.

Seasonal Clerkships

We offer a unique two year program for students in their penultimate year. During the clerkship participants will be exposed to various practice groups within the firm and be given real legal issues for considerational.. Our clerkship also incorporates a tailored learning program to support clerks in developing as legal practitioners.

Length of program

Our program runs from the penultimate year of study through to the final year.

Time of offer

The interview and selection process for summer clerks takes place in early April, following receipt of applications in March/April. Offers for clerkship positions are made in May.

Number of clerks employed

We typically take 5-6 participants for the annual program.

Graduate Recruitment

Our firm recruits graduate lawyers on an annual basis, subject to the specific requirements of each practice group. Typically, we give preference to applicants who have participated in our clerk program. Graduates are recruited for specific roles, in their preferred area of practice, and as such we do not conduct rotations.

The number of graduates employed depends on business requirements at the time, but we generally recruit 3-4 per year.

Clerkship applications are sought following the university career fairs in March each year, with a closing date of during April. Graduate positions are generally determined closer to the end of each calendar year, with offers made early in the new year.

Clerks attend a panel interview with a Partner, Senior Associate and HR in attendance - this is the only interview for candidates.

Graduate applicants will typically meet with the Supervising Partner and HR, with the possibility of a second round interview with other team members.
